Failed to Read MySQL. Unable to convert MySQL date/time.....

Postby ian » Tue Sep 07, 2010 12:49 pm

Error when reading a My SQL datanase:

Failed to Read MySQL 1. Unable to convert MySQL date/time value to System.DateTime.

This is caused because MySQL accepts a date of the format 00-00-0000. Microsoft DOT Net (the basis of DataSlave) does not. There is now a beta of DataSlave 2.2.3 which supports this date.

Check the box in the MySQL Read to accept Zero Dates.
Once read in to DataSlave then change to a String using the Transform ToString function
Test for the value 00-00-0000 using an If function and then if found change to Null or 1/1/1900 the values accepted by DataSlave, MS SQL, Access and most databases

Version 2.2.3 will be release shortly. However if you need access to the beta release plase contact support at Baycastle.
