Capitalization in the dbc file

Postby ian » Tue Aug 09, 2011 2:52 pm

Chris has pointed out that the DBC file used to substitute values is fussy about capitalisation.

The following syntax will fail to substitute:

Code: Select all
<Configuration>
<Function Guid= ""Name="Read Text File 1">
<Filename>Customers2.txt</Filename>
 </Function>
</Configuration>

The following will substitute:

Code: Select all
<Configuration>
<Function guid="" name=" Read Text File 1">
<Filename>Customers2.txt</Filename>
 </Function>
</Configuration>

Note: Function guid not Function Guid and name not Name.

This unnecessary dependence on capitalization will hopefully be fixed in the next release.

Thank you Chris for pointing this out.
