Map Execution Enhancement

Postby blackice » Tue Apr 03, 2007 11:24 am

It would be great if you could add a callback or delegate to the map.Execute() method, such that we don't have to wait until the function returns to see output. My clients have very large maps, many containing several stored procedures with longer execution times, and tables they sometimes load with 90 million records. What would be great to have is if, after every map function or object execution, a MapExecutionProgress message is fired with the results of the OutputStream passed to that object. This would allow both DataSlave users, and users of products developed using the SDK (like myself), the ability to update the progress on the user interface while execution is happening.

Kind Regards,
