Loading data from a legacy system

Postby ian » Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:35 am

Occasionally a legacy system will have no facility for exporting data and will use a proprietary database not supported by DataSlave and not offering support for ODBC. The only way to get data from this system may be to print a report to a file and then to extract the data from this report.

A Baycastle customer has kindly provided a real world sample of a report that they needed to extract data from. You can download a sample of the data and a map built to extract the required data.

This sample includes the use of some DOT NET Script to assist with the data migration. Download the sample and take the map for a test spin.
