Failed to contact Net-Cabinet Server

When logging on to Net-Cabinet an error is displayed:

Failed to contact Net-Cabinet Server. Please check the server is started….

There appears to be an issue in some circumstances with the Net-Cabinet Server running on 64-bit Windows 7 and perhaps other versions of Windows. We are investigating, but you can fix this problem by moving to the use of Full SQL Server or by downloading and installing SQL Server Compact SP2 from Microsoft

Please note that for a 64-bit machine you need to install SQL Compact for 32-bit machines (SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi) and then for 64-bit machines (SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi). Both are included in the download.

We have some reports of a similar problem on other Operating Systems. Again we suggest that you install SQL Compact SP2.
