Upgrading DataSlave to Version 2.2.2
Upgrading from 2.1 to
2.2.2
Make a backup copy of your licence files and uninstall DataSlave. Run
the setup for 2.2.2.
There is no change required to maps, but please
note that the licensing has changed so you will need to contact support to obtain a new licence.
Upgrading from 2.0 to
2.1
Make a backup copy of your licence file and run
the setup for 2.1.
There is no change required to maps, but please
note that the Script objects are now called ActiveX Scripts
Upgrading from 1.x to
2.1
When you install version 2.1 your installation
will upgrade and DataSlave 1.x will no longer be available. You
will also need a new licence file for 2.1. We suggest you make sure
you have this available before you install version 2.1.
Upgrading maps
If you have maps developed in version 1.x of
DataSlave you can open them from version 2.1. You will get a warning
and the Export functions on the map will revert to Trial mode.
Functions in the Trial mode are restricted to
only execute 50 rows. To change a function out of trial mode highlight
the function and either use the right-click context menu or the
Functions menu.
Validate Script functions will need to be modified.
Open each validate and change the inputs from Value to Value1. This
is made necessary as the Validate Script object now supports multiple
inputs.
Lookup functions need to be deleted and re-entered
and some other Validate and Transform functions may need to be re-entered
as well.
Test your map carefully and when you have finished
save the map.
Please contact support
at Baycastle if you have any questions .
