ETL
 |
DataSlave
is an example of an ETL Tool (Extract,
Transform and Load) tool. It is
designed to allow you to import data from for example a CSV
File and then run a series of data quality checks on that
data.

to find out more. |
Formats supported as part of Extract Transform Load
Check the data
for valid formats - Social Security Number, Email address, URL,
ISBN number, valid telephone number, ZIP code, Postcode and many
more. DataSlave offers over 100 standard functions, more than most
ETL Tools on the market and at a market-leading price.
Transform
Data can be modified for example splitting a
field into two, breaking up a contact name or stripping our unwanted
characters. More than 35 standard functions.
De-duplicate
Data can be checked for duplicate or repeated
records either within its self or compared to another set of data.
Finally the clean data can be loaded into a new
database or exported into a text file.
DataSlave is a leading ETL Tool,
but also provides de duplication (de dup) and data cleaning, removing
duplicates, clone or repeat records. We do not use soundex as this
does not work well with names drawn from non-English sources. We
use the number of edits, a simple but effective approach.
First-class ETL
DataSlave is designed
to allow you to import data, transform data, validate data and finally
export that data. DataSlave is one of the best tools on the market
for database import, database export and data migration. We are
not a de duplication service, but a de-dup tool that you own and
use as many times as you need. An ETL Tool with data de-duplication
built in. DataSlave also offers tools for merging data.
DataSlave provides support for CSV files, Tab
delimited, comma delimited, fixed format files, Microsoft Access,
Excel, SQL Server, FoxPro, Act, DataFlex, MySQL, ODBC, OLE DB, Oracle,
VSAM, Paradox, Postgress, dBase, ISAM. More...
The data can come from marketing lists, email
lists, mailing lists, direct mail lists, address lists, contact
management systems, CRM systems, Maxamiser, ACT!, Outlook. Make
DataSlave a part of your marketing campaign management or list management.
You can also use the DataSlave SDK to add a ETL into your own application. A data migration facility with the minimum
of development effort. Learn more. See a demonstration of Extract Transform Load (ETL) in action.
